This is the Council Bluffs Recreation Complex and is the location for the tournament you are attending. Please note that the soccer field layout given on this link is not necessarily the layout used for the tournament. ![]() ![]() The Council Bluffs Convention and Visitors Bureau has a wealth of information on its web site such as locations for dining, lodging, shopping, and places to see. Check out their video to see first hand some of the things available to you during your stay. The entire first floor of The Union Pacific Railroad Museum is being transformed into the state-of-the-art, million-dollar exhibit "Building America." The exhibit's grand opening will be May 12, 2012. Follow this link to find out more about the "Building America" exhibit. ![]() One of the top zoological parks in the country is located only a few miles west of the Council Bluffs Recreation Complex. Cross the Missouri River and take the first Nebraska exit off of Interstate 80 to see the Henry Doorly Zoo. ![]() Although the Omaha metropolitan area extends many miles to the west, the center of Omaha's visitor experience lies just a few miles across the Missouri River from Council Bluffs. Whether you're looking for dining in the Old Market, a concert at the Holland Center, or a step back into the area's railroad past at the Durham Museum, you can find it in downtown Omaha, only minutes away from Council Bluffs. ![]() Most of the hotels in Council Bluffs are located along or near Interstates 80 and 29, putting them within a short distance of the soccer complex. You can find a complete list of hotels on the Council Bluffs Convention and Visitors Bureau (Hotels) web site. ![]() Discover the interesting history of Council Bluffs and it's connections with the 16th president of the United States. The Lincoln Monument commemorates Abraham Lincoln's visit in 1859, and the nearby Ruth Anne Dodge Memorial, known locally as the "Black Angel," was sculpted by Daniel Chester French, the artist who sculpted the figure of Abraham Lincoln in Washington D.C.'s Lincoln Memorial. ![]() Have you ever seen a squirrel cage jail - for humans, not squirrels? Council Bluffs has one of only three left in the United States. It was closed as a jail in 1969 but is now open to visitors as a museum.
